I have an eastern beaver relay kit already. My current bulb is burnt out. I'm just trying to make an educated decision on a replacement.

Thanks for assuming instead of being helpful though.

I've been using the EB relay kit with a 130w/90w bulb for 3 months now, and the light is superb- with no heat issues at all. Go for it I say.

I disagree.

The bulb is the best first investment. Although I recommend the relay kit also while you're in there.

Avramid, I don't think you'll find a consensus on the best bulb. But as you can see from the pics you won't regret going with an 85/80 Osram. From what i could find, it's a quality bulb, not some aftermarket gimmick. But I had to special order it because it's not normally stocked anywhere, probably because it's not street legal.

i like the sound of regular wattage low beam and high wattage high beam. why would the law limit the high beam wattage, just for when we forget to switch back to low beam?

small gauge wire is like choking down electricity. the equivalent term in the water systems biz is "friction loss", referring to head loss, kinda like resistance. push lots of water through too small of pipe and you don't get much out the discharge of the pipe.

there, clear as mud hahahahaha

Eastern Beaver headlight wiring-install advice?

Have ordered the Eastern Beaver headlight wiring and relay kit. Would appreciate any advice from some of you who have installed it already. Where is the best place on the bike to run the wiring, right or left side? Where is the best spot to mount the relays, etc. I appreciate any suggestions-thanks-Mort

I mounted the relays zip tied to the frame hidden behind the left part of the front fairing. The power wire is routed alongside the rest of the harness. I was also able to tuck it through the battery terminal cover.

Here's what you have to look forward to:

low beam vs stock:
