Then I did the swap and I can tell you that the bike now would run circles around the bike then.....no question in my mind.

So run whichever set up you like...no worries but I will stick by my statement that after running both, I would never have a VTR with a stock front end.
Ugh now I WANT to do a full front end swap to match my rear instead of just revalving and springing the current front end and adding a fork brace

Don't hold back then Ren.
How about these in your area:
04-07 cbr 1000rr ohlins front forks
or these:

I have the same bug now. I would think it best to get the whole front end where possible.

I agree that it would be if you can find a good deal on it but sometimes its worth it to look around for parts if you have time to wait around.

Hate you both (but really love) because now I'm scouring CAD models to make my own monobloc brembos to fit those front ends...

I'm gonna need that raise boss

Nice thing about a city like mine, is the part availability is incredible and I can take my time

I mean it's already $600 for revalved and sprung forks from daughtery, $550 for new rotors, $120 brace, already have SP1 calipers (but can always ebay) and a beautiful nissin radial master, may as well go USD at this point

I should go visit Hawk in the valley then I'll really be convinced!

8541Hawk will become famous soon enough
Well other can help with which front ends are common now but I do have pics of the fairing triming around and will try to post them.

It is minor and only involves the 2 small inner pieces, so it's something that no one will ever see
