You asked static or laden...I meant laden (with rider) sag. You should have about 35mm sag WITH rider. If you have the correct springs then this should give you about 10-15mm UNladen (bike only).

I think what helped you the most was getting the rear end back down by backing off the rear preload.

Thanks greg i thought it was laden and yes the rear was to blame.
the thing was toping out with to much preload.
