Dr Honda Velocity Stacks?

I'm a relative newbie to the VTR1000 (1999). I've had mine for a month and had the carb jetted/new airfilter to take advantage of the aftermarket pipes which had never been done. It is now running fairly smooth down low where it was popping all the time inside the engine and it pulls well up top.

Will these Velocity stacks improve speed or torque or both? Where in the power band. Are they easy to install or will I need my mechanic to do it for me?

Thanks if someone can help me understand if I should get these. I'm a much better rider than mechanic!

Got them today! Thanks for the quick shipment.
These were hardly blemished... well worth the price, what a deal!

Matt, go here to order... http://www.a-lmotorsports.com/

Perhaps it's time that one of the moderators lock this thread? And put a link in here to where to order... It's becoming a repeating trend to have people "add them selves" to a list that doesn't exist anymore...

Got it..thanks. We emailed.

They are ordered.

Whether or not they will make a difference...who knows?
I suspect it may wake it up a few hp being that I have pipes and a jet kit.
After reading the threads it seems riders are picking up 3-5 ponies. Seat-of-the-pants dyno confirms it.
