Differences between the 929/954 front ends

Couldn't find a clear answer in the old posts. Looking into the fork swap mod. RC51 front end is the best but pricey for my 10 year old bike. Same with what I've found lately with the 1000RR. So it's back to the 929/954 front end.

Specifically what are the differences in the forks between the 929/954 other than the 929 had softer stock springs? I thought one post mentioned the 954 has more adjustments in addition to stiffer stock springs.

Are the front wheels interchangeable between the 929/954?

Are the rotor sizes the same between the 929/954?

And where the hell do you guys find this info out short of skimming old posts on multiple forums? I spent way too long last night looking for rotor sizes and came up empty-handed.....

Thanks

I don't think there are any differences. Even your comments about the fork springs is new to me. The forks I am using are off an 01 GSXR750 which are also the same as the 929/954 except they have stiffer springs. The nice thing about those is you can usually get them on eBay a lot cheaper than CBR parts.

The rotor size thing is going to be an issue for you. My forks need Ø320mm rotors but I'm running Ø310's for a CBR1100XX without any major issues (yet). The 929 and 954 use the same rotor (Ø330mm by the way), just check an EBC catalog and you'll see that it's the same part number.

The one and only difference is the spring stiffness and possibly the shim stack inside matching the spring... Apart from that they are identical in every respect... All parts are interchangeable...
