DanMoto exhaust in Cali
Hey there fellow SuperHawkers (can I use that word?)
I'm currently in Seattle and I'm moving to LA end of July.
My question is simple- is getting my bike registered with emissions in Cali easier with the stock cans then switching to the Danmotos later? I know they are not for sale in Cali, I'd buy them here in Seattle.
I've read up on registering an out of state bike so I understand that - I'd just like to hear any personal experience with Cali's emissions.
Thanks all and Happy Memorial Day to all!!

depends on the DMV employee. They will want to look at the emissions sticker on the bike and some insist on seeing the OE and FMVSS stamping on the muffler. I have registered out of state bikes here a few times have been able to get it registered with aftermarket mufflers and other times had to put the stocker on it.
I say keep the OEM till after the inspection just in case.
