DanMoto exhaust in Cali
Hey there fellow SuperHawkers (can I use that word?)
I'm currently in Seattle and I'm moving to LA end of July. My question is simple- is getting my bike registered with emissions in Cali easier with the stock cans then switching to the Danmotos later? I know they are not for sale in Cali, I'd buy them here in Seattle. I've read up on registering an out of state bike so I understand that - I'd just like to hear any personal experience with Cali's emissions. Thanks all and Happy Memorial Day to all!! |
depends on the DMV employee. They will want to look at the emissions sticker on the bike and some insist on seeing the OE and FMVSS stamping on the muffler. I have registered out of state bikes here a few times have been able to get it registered with aftermarket mufflers and other times had to put the stocker on it.
I say keep the OEM till after the inspection just in case. |
Rick,
That's what I was thinking. Thanks for the response! |
