changing sprockets

I did -1 on the front sprocket and its supposed to be a 10% increase in acceleration over stock, seems to of helped mine, seems snappier and you can tell its geared down a bit on the highway. Nothing extreme of course, but i think it did help. Good Luck!

-1 front/+2 rear
I have the 520 DID chain, AFAM 15 front/43 rear. Skipping all the technical bs, it is just a snappier ride and much more fun than the stock 16/41 IMHO. 1st gear does rev a bit high, but I use the SH more as a fun toy to take out and run some curves with so for me the 15/43 is a blast!!!

I downloaded a handy little gear calculator to help with making my decision on gearing.
Now take it for what it is and that is a “Calculator” and will not factor in things like rolling or air resistance but was helpful none the less. (Note All Speeds Are At Redline)
I have three deferent Calculators and all will come up with slightly deferent #’s but it (all where within a few MPH of each other) gives you a look at how gearing changes will affect the speed of the bike in its respected gears.
Stock 16/41 – 1st 60 mph, 2nd 91, 3rd 115, 4th 136, 5th 152 & 6th 171 (if only the hawk had the HP to pull this gearing)
16/43 - 1st 57 mph, 2nd 86, 3rd 110, 4th 130, 5th 145 & 6th 163
15/43 - 1st 54 mph, 2nd 81, 3rd 103, 4th 122, 5th 136 & 6th 153
