Brace Myself...

Brace Myself...
I was wondering if anyone has come across this issue when bracing the VTR with Honda CBR 900rr.
I managed to get the brace off a 1997 CBR 900rr, and did the needed requirements to make it fit the VTR swingarm.
The question I have is that I purchased on E-bay what was described as a 2000 Honda CBR 900rr caliper and bracket, and when I looked at the hole size for the wheel bolt, the hole on the purchased brace was larger than the VTR's bolt. So I now need to make up a sleeve and shim to make it fit correctly.
But what I want to know is, did I get I get sent a 929 instead of a 900rr, and is that why there is a difference in the size? It was described (on Ebay) that it was a 900rr, but I believe that they actually sent me a 929. Would that explain the problem I am having with the wheel bolt ?
I messaged CaryDG, who just recently did this swingarm modification, and he didn't run into this issue, so I am trying to figure out why I am having this issue.
I look forward to hearing if anyone has any input. Thanks!

As far as I know, the 2000 CBR900RR is also known as a CBR929RR. The 96-99 CBR900RR uses the same rear Axle as all years of VTR1000F. The 2000 CBR900RR/929RR use a different part. I don't know if it's bigger, but the evidence is stacking up.

Ok ...I did a little time on the laptop, to get right my Yogi & Boo Boo mistake.
If you want to do the 900rr aluminum brace upgrade, you must use 1996-99 Honda swing arm rear caliper bracket assembly. It will come with the correct axle shaft diameter and bracket to make it work. Does anyone want a 2000 Honda 900rr/929 rear brake caliper and bracket....looks real good.
I had the brace welded, by a reputable company, which should have cost me $100.00....but it took longer, apparently, costing me $200.00 instead. I am looking to do another brace for my street bike. I guess I should have just purchased a TIG welder and copied CaryDG on doing my own welding.
Will send pics when all is completed.

Here's an update.... and some photos.
As noted above, you need to use the 96-99 CBR 900RR.
You can use your existing caliper on the VTR to do this modification. I had already reconditioned my VTR with new pads, etc., so all you really need is the bracket.
But... I found that the complete bracket assembly that I bought off E-Bay, which included the brake line, worked out even better because I used that brake line.
The one thing which is not mentioned on previous swingarm modification descriptions is that if you have the brace installed, the chain has to have a removable link so that you can fit it through the hole, which the modification creates. I had to remove the riveted link and purchase a removable replacement link.
Another modification I did was to use the existing chain guard, and with my 3-D printer I made an L-bracket to keep the modified chain guard in place (see the photos for detail).
Also, the photos show that the welding was not up to my expectations.
So, I purchased POR15 silver paint and painted the complete swingarm, but it was too shiny for my liking, so I masked off half of the brace and spray-painted it with silver VHT Hi-Temp Engine Enamel from AutoZone. (Photos attached)
Poor welding job I paid $200 for
After sandblasting and POR15 plus VHT paint
How it looks now with the beautiful Yoshimura exhaust from Captain Chaos
The original chain guard with my 3D printer modification
Where the new chain guard will go, and the hole that the chain has to be able to fit thru
Chain guard in place
