Ya'll crazy! Micron be the best! Seriously, I think taste in exhaust note is subjective. Volume and tone that get my juices flowing might not do it for the next guy. I don't think there will be much of a difference power-wise between the aftermarket selections.

performance wise for slipons there isn't much difference to worry about. sounds is subjective - have some of these guys post some sound clips for you or post your location and see who might be near by to listen to.

This is a completely subjective thing, for looks and for sound. You'll get 50 different answers. I love my carbon Leo's but I've tried a bunch of different ones over the years and I think that Staintunes may have it for sound. They ALL sound great on this bike but hearing a set of Staintunes may change your mind.

Hey guys thanks for all the suggestions! I heard that clip of the Devils, they sound pretty mean and LV's have some preference here. Ive heard the two bros. are a good choice too. I am in the west texas area. If anyone wants to get rid of some pipes let me know please. Thanks for all the feedback!

Just picked up my 00 hawk, and its got some titanium exhaust system on it. Says ZERO on the outside of the mufflers, and JMCA on the mufflers facing toward the rear wheel, have done some searching online and it doesnt appear to be made anymore, sounds extremely mean tho.... anyone know anything bout it?

I'd "get rid" of mine

for $350. Vance & Hines Titanium S4's, no dings, rash or dents. Sound sweet but just too loud for me. Sounds like sticks of dynamite going off when cold, mellows out a bit after the bike warms up. I don't think my neighbors or the people that live along my commute route are too happy with me.

Moriwaki made a "Zero" system for a while. That's the only one I can think of. Never heard of JMCA.

The best pipes I have heard are the STAINTUNE exhaust. They will be my next purchase.

find some fast by ferracci forza pipes for ducati and put them on the hawk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKQwj...e=channel_page
and no the shot gun setup really made no difference in sound from these excellent pipes.

Sounds like the microphone was being overdriven. It's hard to tell how these things really sound from a file online.

I have the Jardine RT-One CF. Great sound , great look, but IMO the built quality is not top notch. If I'll ever change them I would get a pair of LeoVince CF. I really like how high the sit.

My black S/H came with D&D slip ons off the showroom floor in 97. In 2002 I got a Two Brothers full system, not high mount. Like the sound better and the quality of the header is much better than stock. Did have to jet the bike though.

Mine came with the 2Bros pipes and they sound great, really deep bass sound which everyone loves. I have head the jardines and they have a little more aggressive sound, more of a braatttt sound. I have heard the Leos as well and I would say they are louder than the 2bros and sound similar to the Jardines.
