Adjusting the Suspension

So I decided the suspension on the 'hawk was a little too much on the soft side, and I wanted to stiffen in up (thats what she said).

So looking through the owner's manual everything was going well, but when I finally found the rebound for the rear shock, it wouldn't budge. It looks worn and I don't want to start to strip it with brute force. Anyone got any suggestions?

WD40, a big screw driver, and patience..

Mine took some work to get adjusted too.

If WD40 doesn't work, paint it with some Kroil. If that doesn't do it, a propane torch and more Kroil.

This can happen sometimes on bikes that get ridden in dirty conditions, etc. Be carfeful, that screw is very small and spindly and is easliy broken. A fella on the VFR forum snapped one just the other day. You don't want to do that! Some penetrating fluid is a good idea, give that a shot.
