What color to paint 6 spokes on a Blue hawk?!
I will eventually buy some 6 spoke rims and have them painted...What does everyone think looks good with a 2003 Candy Tahitian Blue Superhawk?.....gold, blue, white maybe.....good ol' black?
any pictures of a Blue Hawk w/ different colored rims will help!
thanks all!

i think white would look great, but a biotch to clean........i'm getting my 6 spokers powdercoated gold after my last thread looking at red Duc's and RC51's with them.....but then again mine is red. of course chrome would be sweet but also a pretty penny about $600 on the exchange programs i

Silver powdercoat would be a good option I think.
I think anything polished or chrome goes well with blue, as I have done with my bike. If you don't want to go to the trouble or cost of polishing or chroming, then powdercoat is a great finish. It is tough, easy to clean, and cheap.

Silver! It will tie in nicely with your silver tank badges, frame, swingarm, etc.. I thought black left my bike looking a bit too "military", but it may work better with your blue. Whatever color you decide to do, make sure you get them powder coated.

Those look awesome. About how much did you pay for powder coating if you don't mind? As far as my vote for wheel color, white looks good if done right, but silver always looks good. I like the blue on the Aprilla Mille wheels, but on a blue bike that probably wouldn't work out.

If somebody wanted to give me free wheels in the color of my choice for my '03, I'd probably go with a shade of gray. Would look good against both the blue tank and plastic as well as the decals.

It has always been my contention that the ideal Superhawk paint scheme consists of no more than three colors - two would be better. Everything - all the frame, the under bodywork, and the powerplant - three (or less) colors. The new bikes take advantage of color enhancing of their bodywork. The Superhawk is more dated by its presentation than its performance.

Now I think that would look sweet!! Actually whole lip up to the lip where things turn rough. I painted mine black in the center but I like to tinker and they will probably be something different soon.

This was a color scheme I was kicking around, until you AND this guy thought of it...
