Made a start on a new set of bars today.

 

Finished the Seat base and made a good start on the Front Mudguard this weekend.

 

That little "beak" on the *** end of the gas tank is gonna be a real nutter....or de-nutter I should say!

 

Tank mk2 turned into another disaster so it's back to the drawing board and start again.
This time I've bought a chinese Tig so if I'm doing it right hopefully this will be the last attempt.

 

Just caught up on the thread from beginning to end... Great work! Most impressive is the fact that you seem to do such a good job of translating the vision in your head to an actual tangible product. That's the downfall of many an artist. Thanks so much for sharing with us!

 

Hey man my name is Brian Ive been riding for 20 years modifying for about 19 lol. Im currently building a vtr up. Im working on the SSSa now then doing some USD forks see if I can get this puppy to handle. Kudos on the progress/vision in your project its unique for sure.

On the original post I really like the R1 tail on there. What subframe were you running and what did you have to do to get it together so nice?

I used the top section of the VTR sub frame and fabricated a new set of lower rails. The light mount, Cdi brackets and Battery box were all home made.

 

Can we have an update on this awesome build please!
