RC51 WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 02-03 TANKS?
I HAVE A DILEMA. I HAVE AN RC51 02, THAT HAS A KILLED TANK. THE 02 TANK IS ALMOST 200.00 MORE NEW THAN THE 03. THE TANK IS GOING TO BE PAINTED, SO GRAPHIC SCHEME DOSENT MATTER. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS DIFFERENT, IF ANYTHING BETWEEN THE 2 YEARS. THEY LOOK THE SAME, I FIGURED JUST COSMETIC.
CAN THEY BE INTERCHANGED?
ANYONE CAN ANSWER THIS, IT WOULD BE GREAT.

I can't say for sure if it's the same in the US... but here in europe the 02 and onwards where designated SP2 (00-01 designated SP1) and where in essence identical in all parts with only very minor updates until Honda ended the model in 06...
I can tell you with 100% certainity that a SP1 tank does not fit a SP2... but 02 to 03 should be identical... There are no reason I can think of that they shouldn't... But I'd talk to your local mechanic or something and check first... Or have someone else here confirm...
