Vinyl Cosmetics

Hey Folks
I just bought this '02 Superhawk and already I did some damage (I'll tell you later when I feel better). Some of the graphics are damaged now and I want to sweep it all under the rug asap. I've looked all over the web and can't match it exactly. Any help I will appreciate---Bud

I looked at their site but see no exact match and that's what I want. An exact duplicate. I tend to think the graphics on it now are Tape Werks but they're older stuff so I may be out of luck.

Bummer man, hope you're okay!

Welcome btw.

If you took a picture of the graphics and sent it to tape works and see if they can re-manufacture the cuts? I'm sure they have them saved and it might take a little bit of buttering up but you could maybe get them to do a set for you?

just a though!

Those are tapework graphics brother.
Either call Rob at tapeworks, or e-mail him a picture, he'll hook you up. He's a great guy.
I'll go cruise his website and see if I can find those vinyls. Those are what I have

Call TapeWerks, I recently bought that exact graphics kit. It wasn't on their website, but they can still make one up. Probably make replacement pieces also.

If you think that was a good idea with no gear you should buy 4 sets of tapewerks because you will need it soon. And keep you health insurance up to date.

Uh oh, $329!!!!!!!-------Looks like I screwed up even more than I thought. Here's what I did wrong. Using the wrong method to back the bike off the truck I dropped it and in a haste to pick it up I lifted with my back instead of my legs and POW, something loud and painful shot through my lower back putting me on the ground. Happened on 11-16 and I've been in dire straits since. What started out as a good deal on a gorgeous bike ain't so good now and can only hope I don't need surgery later. The bike's a 2002 with 4800 miles bought from 2d owner (who bought it with 4000 miles) includes Penske shock, Gold Tech modded forks by GMD in Ft. Lauderdale and new tires all for $3300, stock mufflers and shock as well. Seller said it didn't work for him on track days and neither did a cbr1000rr which he low sided with because of too much power in the curves. So he bought a sv1000 so he wouldn't have to mess with carb jetting. I'm sure that's what wrong with this SH as it seems too lean on running on the swing arm stand and the pipe tips have very little soot. It'll be a while before I can ride it and jet it. I'll keep you posted-------Bud

Hey Bud,
Sounds like the Hawk might be too much bike for you. I'll do you a favor and give you $1500 CASH for it! That's right, 15 crisp $100 dollar bills. Just thinking "bout you're best interests........

Sorry to hear about your back, get some anti-inflammatory meds, and give it a rest.

Ok, Deal!
But first I have to make it perfect cosmetically and jetting and anything else I run across. I've had a lot of bikes over the course of time but none that stir the emotions visually like this one.

Excellent! I'm feeling so much better that I took it out for 2 or 3 lil spins and the bike runs right even with the BMC filter but the pipe tips don't soot up so must be quite lean on bottom and mid range. Tomorrow I'll take it out for a second gear wrist wheelie test at 4k, 5k, 6k, 7k and maybe 8krpm to see if the mains are big enough and then I'll put the stock filter in and repeat. Currently has a 15t sprocket and gets 40+ mpg of local and cruising type riding. Don't know what it has for jetting but idles smoothly and roars like a hot rod harley wishes it could.
