I had yellow wheels on a red bike once. It was actually a red/black CBR600F3 and it looked sweet. I got a lot of comments on it. I've considered that for the VTR and also a medium blue color. I can't decide, so I've left mine black.

In my opinion, gold wheels look pretty good on just about anything.

leave the spokes and spoke ridge "black". paint the remainder of the rim with metallic
silver urethane paint that closely matches your fork bottoms and swingarm. that color
ties all the alum.bits on your bike together, makes an attractive contrast between rim and tyre, and is an easy clean-up as you probably won't need to clean the spoke area
each time you ride. i did that to mine 3 yrs ago and it is holding up very well.

$85 a wheel seems like a good price. I had mine done in glossy black about 4 years ago. I can't remember the price, but I'm disappointed that the coating is peeling.

white sucks!
usually the wheels should match the frame, but there are exceptions.

I think dirt colored rims are the best.. They always look clean no matter what.

Not bad! I probably would have gone with a 70 series front tire though!
