So I've been thinking about this for a while now and am thinking about finally doing it since I'm getting knee surgery on Friday and won't be riding for a while. I want to swap on a SSS as well as a 6th Gen VFR800 tail with undertail exhaust so the can on the open side doesn't clutter the look. I'll be fabricating a complete header and everything right up to the cans out of 1 3/4" SS tubing so it'll be slightly larger. I'll also be building a subframe to fit the tail and lighten the *** up a little. My question is, does anyone know if the swingarm from the 6th Gen VFR800 will work? If not I can get the swingarm components from an earlier bike but I have an opportunity to get everything for a good price from an 08 VFR and would rather do that if possible.

From what I have read the newest gen swingarms hasn't got a forked pivot mount and won't work... But don't trust me on that, research it...
