Sometimes doing it Just for looks is ok...

Sometimes, looks counts... not often, and mostly I only do something for "looks" when its parts of another MOD, upgrade or broken part replacement.

But sometimes it's just because. Today was one of those days.

The cover on my speedo has cloudy spots from something over the years that has splashed on it.

And the little faux socked head fastener at the top was a bit rusty and dingy

Ronayers.com had the cover on sale and free shipping so.....

I bought a new one... not because the old one was broke, not as an upgrade.. just because I wanted a fresh looking one....

Sometimes thats all that matters.

Materialistic selfish bastard. I bet your table is made out of real wood and you take a bath more than twice a year too...

I keep wanting to replace that Faux screw with a shift light and make it look stock, but I have no idea how to go about it. I've always thought it would look good right there

You know the old saying ''Too much information''. Well, this is one of those moments...

I changed the face on mine because it had a crack in it, and, it was unnoticeable. But ever since I did it, the bike runs soooo much better.
Well, at least that's what my psychic says.

But as noted above, the sale has ended.. It's now $85 and no more free shipping.

I saved $13 in shipping, $13 in base price.

Basically brought me to the same price as I get local at the shop where my wife works.. BUT I needed some Kawasaki parts as well ... so was a better deal to order those from Ronayers.com add the meter cover... and ship the whole mess for free

I had the same issue and fixed it with this:
Amazon.com: Novus Polish Kit, Plastic Polish & Scratch Remover: Automotive Amazon.com: Novus Polish Kit, Plastic Polish & Scratch Remover: Automotive

I was amazed how easily and good the polish worked. It made the cluster cover look like new.

Tried it and another product our aircraft guys use on UH-60 wind screens..Only made the spots more cloudy.

Likely I could have sanded, then polished deep enough to get it right. Butat what cost in time and materials.. and then how thin would the lens end up?

$70 was a no brainer for me in getting a new cover, shipped and done andinstalled with no hassle.
