Show me your relocated license plate please.

I am thinking about relocating the license plate. What is the best way to go about it? Can you show me a pic. Thanx

Re: Show me your relocated license plate please.

I moved the light up where the reflector was, then raised the plate below it and cut off what was left.

During our brief run in with the "Camera Vans" everyone started to obscure their plates. I thought that showed a complete disregard for the law and the state's effort to make us all safer.

Here is where I relocated my plate. You will be amazed how it cleans up the back of your ride.
To top it off most constables will applaud your honesty on the issues of self government.

The watsen design mini LEDs really clean up the rear end, and follow the lines of the ovals almost flawlessly.

I don't care about the plate number showing...I don't own the bike anymore, lol.

Re: Show me your relocated license plate please.

heres what i did with mine.

first pic you can see all of the uglyness and uneeded plastic. get the hacksaw out and chop it down so it looks like pic 2. i wasnt happy with the number plate looking so flat though so i made some brackets for it.

pic 3 you can see that ive made some metal brackets out of some 3-4mm alloy. i made 2 brackets each about 2 inches wide. bolt the brackets to where you took the old no plate off at the height you want it. i used 1 nut and bolt for each bracket. i used strong tape to stick my plate to the brackets as i didnt want to drill holes in it.

pic 4 and 5 is the finished product

EDIT: pics came up in the wrong order but you know what i mean

Re: Show me your relocated license plate please.

Those are some fine homemade examples! Not hack jobbed at all! Very nice.

Competition Werkes makes a nice setup that's very clean for about $140. I had one on my Ninja 500R and it looked great.

Here's the link for the VTR1000F:

Then again, homemade is FREE!

Hello, 1 idea I had for a remounting location for the license plate that so far that hasn't gotten me any extra attention from the local super troopers is to remove the lower rear mud guard and drill holes in the plate and remount it in place of the guard. Looks pretty good and only rquires a drill. Sorry no pics as of yet, my bikes getting ready to go to paint. Good luck

I found this swingarm license plate relocator on ebay. Has VTR symbol cut into it. The person who makes it will customize it for you for a little extra cash. Check it out...JDA Custom-Ebay

Well the replies have seemed to be very conventional ones, my guess is you are looking for something like this.

Re: Show me your relocated license plate please.

BTW just noticed the on vacation thing, that is great

Oh yeah here is a picture that shows where the srews went. I simply put the screws straight in and then bent the plate a little, took like 20min. Then i dremel and filed off the end.

Sorry i made the photo smalelr but it was hard to see where they came in at, so i am leaving it at full size.

Help Identifying Fender Eliminator?

I picked this up off off ebay recently, I think it is made by Competition Werkes? Can anyone verify?
Looking for the instructions for installation if anyone has it.
TIA
