Pic Request: Undertails / Fender Elim. Kits

Hey everyone, as the topic states... I've done some searching, but had no real luck in finding photos of some of the different undertails / fender elim. kits.

I just recently picked up a brand new 04' Superhawk and would like to begin the modding process.

I'm sorry if this feels like a repost, but I'd like to try and see a number of them together to compare what they look like installed and hear any feedback about quality and fitment.

TIA

Eurobikes is the best looking one in my opinion.
I couldn't find one for the SH on their website anymore?
Might try giving them a call.

Might try Ebay.

Well, so far this is my favorite... however, I can't seem to find pics of it installed so I tried sending them an email. I like the look of the Sharkskinz, but the whole pre-painted thing seems great (don't think Sharkskinz does that).

I'm considering changing out the tail to something that has turn integrated, but I'm still not totally sold on them being bright enough for my liking during the day.

I may have to go ahead and compile a post of all of these things as I think it would be a good referance point for someone shopping for the perfect undertail.

I have a Competition Werkes fender eliminator. It's not an "undertail", per se. I have pics on my website. I've seen the same one on another guy's bike, except painted black, and it looks great. As a matter of fact, I may have mine powdercoated black when I do some other parts this winter.

Do all of these require you to hack apart the stock fender or do some of them actually replace it without cutting?

the fender includes the battery box.. so, at least on my 98, with my undertail (PowerBronze)... You either cut up the OEM plastic, or you could fab a battery box if your capable. If your concerned with cutting you baby.. Pick up a used fender from a part out ebay bike. It's not a sought after part, should be cheap.

Comp. Werkes you have to cut the fender. Directions suck. There are pics of how it's installed and where the cut is on my site.

I also have the eurobikes undertail and am very happy with the quality, style, fit and finish. I do recall having to hack the hell out of the stock undertray thingy to get it to fit right but the end result was well worth it. Over four years old and still looks great.

Is that the Eurobikes? I've been looking for exactly that one, but the Eurobikes doesn't seem to have the flat spot for the rear plate. I also wanted to mount a set of signals on the side (as you could with that one). It looks like the Pyramid I keep seeing...

Well, I decided to go with the Ermax. It seems it comes from the same mold as the Pyramid (as well as a few others). I should have it in a few weeks along with a slew of other stuff I can't seem to stop myself from ordering.

Now to find a CF hugger with a integrated chain guard!

I ordered the Ermax from a place in MI I found searching around online. I called and talked to them about a couple of different options... this was the one that seemed to be the best bang for the buck.

I went with the colormatched option, so it should take about 3 weeks to get here.

Some, if not most of us don't have state inspection, none here and I've never had a cop say anything about them. Where do you live?

Yea, no state inspection here in Ohio either. I decided to go with the undertail that didn't have the turn signals so that I could push them out a little further apart.

I went with rumble imports undertail. I like the way it looks with the round lights. I see that they are now doing an undertail that retains the stock light.

I have an undertail for sale right now if anyone is intrested. i have pics so i will send them out.

Some (if not all) carry these hand-held devices that they put by a bike's tailpipe. It gives them a decibel reading.
Some towns here are like that as well it just depends on where/how you're riding. The island of Palm Beach is REALLY bad, they'll pull you over if you even look like you don't belong there!

Yeah the @#$%*~ state inspection. Yeah we got it here in Tejas. Just another excuse for the state to take money. I just had mine done and had to tell the guy doing it what to look at.
