Well, caught the dreaded Tinkeritis bug, thought I'd convert to handlebars. Used Rizoma conical bars (fat bars), with Rox offset bar clamps. Did end up shaving fairing (not much). Sure makes a difference in the ride. No more weight on the wrist, & steering input is much quicker.
Excuse the mess around the bike, but here's some pics.

I'm liking the bars, your gonna have to make a ride up to the house so i can see them in person!

The colors are killing me, but nice and I will be doing mine soon too. Nothing like a patriotic import bike.

Kudos for the nice clean install, but it does look like spiderman's bike.

Bar Mods

Nice setup, thinking of doing a mod of some sort myself, just have to decide which one to go with. I have a couple of my own setups, (see pics), and if I could find a set of VFR800 Bars for a decent price I'd like to try em as other have said that they like them also.

Nice job on the shaving. What did you use to shave down the faring? Thinking of doing the same on my bike and just wonder what tools you used to do it. Sander, Dremel?

i've been thinking of doing this to my bike (i like the colors btw, looks slick)...i have VFR clip ons now, not sure how much of a difference it'd make though. anyone go from the VFR to the superbike style?

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. Yea the color does kind of jump out at ya. Trying not to over do the color, just trying to offset all the red. Of course if I could get a good paint job with blue flames? Decisions, decisions. Hey K-D, I'll come up soon so you can feel the difference. Went out for my first real ride with the mod last Sun. about a 210 mi. RT, & my 54yr old back sure likes it. My next mods are to the engine, got some of Trucks CCT's, a new Factory jet kit, & some pair block off plates.

That would be a switch for my third brake light. In the off mode the light will flash 5 times & then go steady when brakes applied. When the switch is turned on the light strobes from left to right.
