integrated tail, hyper blink

ok i have an integrated tail light thanks to a fellow forum member thx and i hooked it up at it works fine however...

if i get flushmount leds up front will it fix the blink rate or was it in my wiring?

another thing, if i get LED up front will the fast flash rate harm them? because truthfully i could care less, more annoying flash means more noticing me on the road

I don't think so. You can buy a flasher to even things out, though. There was a great site -- canyon chasers? Something like that -- that explained exactly what you needed to steady the blinkers after switching over to LED lights. It was a flasher that cost $8 at NAPA, I think.

Here it is: http://www.canyonchasers.net/shop/generic/buell.php

There is a resistor that you need to put in the wiring. go to the manufactures website and look

For the easiest and cleanest setup I recommend getting an electronic flasher (LF1-S-FLAT) from superbriteleds.com. It's plug and play... no splicing & no soldering!

IndeRocker, you are the man! Just ordered the superbrightled flasher, 3 minute install, and I cured the fast blinking from the previous owner's integrated tail light.

+1 the resistors are trash, the electronic flasher relay is the way to go

i personally like the quick blink thing, i think it makes bikes a bit more visible to cars if they see a strobing light vs something blinking. but thats just me

Definitely more visible, but an a$$hole DPS officer here in AZ can pull you over and write you a "fix it" ticket because it's not blinking at 60fpm. I'm sure while he/she has you stopped they'll find other mundane things to ticket you for too... but that's DPS's MO anyhow... jerks.

Wait that's weird, because I'm was under the impression that you didn't even need turn signals if your bike was made before 2007 in this state...?

Never heard that one, but they may have instituted that law in 2007...? Either way, i doubt they know what year your bike is until you're already pulled over being harassed.
