Which Honda rim?

I need a 17" 5/6 spoke front to match the rear VFR SSS. Will be mounted in CBR1000RR forks and brakes. I believe some CBR wheels will work, but I don't know which. VFR800? CBR600 f2/f3/f4? As far as working, they need the same brake rotor pattern as the RC51 or CBR1000RR, otherwise I can make any spacer needed. Anyone know if the 600 f series is the same brake rotor pattern?

I wish you luck. I know how hard they are to find. It took me 4 months to find my SP2 front wheel and even then I had to get one the was bent and have it straightened.

If I hear of anything I'll let you know.

You will probably have to do a bearing swap on whatever you end up using.

RC51 I think has a larger axle (25mm) than the CBR1000RR (22mm) and the 600 F series use a thinner axle (20mm same as superhawk). I might have those first two measurements swapped though.

I really doubt you will find a direct replacement that will bolt right up without spending the big bucks for something like this: http://www.superbiketoystore.com/spo...prod_1982.html

edit
It is 25mm, had it backwards

from: http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/i...p/page__st__30

"Yes, 06-07 (probably 08 too) CBR1000RR rotors will fit on the RC51 rim.

929 (00-01)....................330mm
954 (02-03)....................330mm
RC51 (00-06)..................320mm
600rr (03-08)..................310mm
1000rr (04-05)................310mm
1000rr (06-07)................320mm

Offsets and bolt patterns are the same. The only differences are rotor thinkness and rotor diameter.

It is my understanding that the 929/954/1000 rims are all interchangable. The RC51 has a different axle diameter (22mm vs 25mm on the 929/954/1000), so you'll need to install RC51 wheel bearings and have custom axle spacers made if you want to use a 929/954/1000 wheel in the RC51 forks."

So a RC51 wheel with CBR1000RR bearings, custom axle spacers and CBR1000RR rotors should work.. No guarantee from me though.. this is all intarweb searching.

I've found a VFR800 front rim, and a SP1 6 spoke. Both bent to some extent, andstill don't know if the veefer will carry the RC51/CBR1000 rotor...

On CBR1000RR forks? I think not as a direct bolt on.. perhaps with a bearing mod and grinding some clearance for spacers in the hub.

inderocker is an unknown quantity at this point
The 98-99 CBR900RR rotors are 310mm and will bolt onto the 98-09 VFR800 rim, the 97-98 CBR1100XX rotors are 310mm as well and will bolt onto a late model VFR750 or F3 wheel. This is good news for you if you are using a 04-05 CBR1000RR front end, although you may or may not have to customize the offset. If not... then disregard that.

I made the 5mm brake spacers to use the 320mm rotors. I realize almost any rim will need custom spacers and/or bearings swapped. I just need a wheel that will bolt up to the 1krr or rc51 320mm rotors, and be 17x3.5" 5 or 6 spokes.

I saw that. $380 is more than the CBR1000RR forks and rotors and triple clamps cost... I am hoping a $100 VFR800 or CBR F2 rim would be comparable.

From looking at brake cross references, it does look as though the VFR800 and F4/F4i can all carry the rotor, as well as 929/954/1KRR/RC51, so I've got a line on a 6 spoke Sp1.

Well my luck went like yours for a while, couldn't find anything. Then I found a SP1 wheel. A week later I also had a SP2 wheel. Then I had to make a choice of which one to use.

To bad you weren't looking about 6 months ago.......
