Help with my Puig?

Has anyone installed a Puig windscreen on their bike? Today I tried putting my new windscreen on and I could get it on for the life of me. I ended up putting the stock windscreen back on and unless I can get some advice as to why I am struggling with it so much I guess I'll have to get it put on professionally. At least it'll get paid for if THEY break it. LOL.
Thanks for any advice anyone might have.

Re: Help with my Puig?

hope its not for a "VTR1000 SP1" I've seen some confusion with that before. from manufacturers, not from riders. if so, it would be a widescreen for a RC-51. might want to check and make sure they ordered the right windscreen. just a thought. my aftermarket double bubble went on without a fuss.

Re: Help with my Puig?

I have a Puig and it fits like a glove, bolted straight on.

You need to be more specific on the problem your having fitting it.

First off, lets see a picture of it to make sure you have the right windscreen.

You know the screen has to go in between the steel bars that the mirrors bolt on to and the fairing right?

If your doing that it has to fit unless you have the wrong one.

Swordfish and NOrrth,

Thanks for the serious responses. I think I got it in but there it about 1/4th of millimeter of space between the bottom of the windscreen and the fairing on one side. Not enough to notice but just enough to bug me. LOL. But it's the best I could get it. To the other two dumb responses...........

Mine does that too. It never bothered me so I didn't try making it fit better :P
