Handlebar control swaps?

Handlebar control swaps?
I can't seem to find the posts anymore, but I'd swear I'd seen somebody who'd swapped out the stock headlight / turn signal switches etc. for those off another bike. Anybody done this / know which ones work? Seems simple enough as putting the VTR ones on the 929 clipons was no problem. Hoping to get something slightly more modern looking and ergonomic for my '98!

I used to have a '99 Busa, those work? Thats great! Having the choke up high was way more convenient (and on that bike doubled as a cruise control as all it did was hold the throttle open). Let me know how that turns out and I'll be on Ebay right after!

I'll find out / make them one way or another. Barely $40 for a complete set of everything, and I'll have a few other random switches to use for whatever I find a need after I'm done (will get to add hazard lights too ).

ya I used the hazzards to cut off my headlight and tail light, like when the bike is warming up.
The starter button is wired where it will cut off the headlight when the button is pressed if you wire it up that way.

Found them on www.ebay.co.uk You're US account should transfer right over.
Search for "Left hand switch". I think I paid 17 Pounds, about $40 US after shipping.

It went very well! On my pda so searching tricky but if you search for Hayabusa controls my thread with the wiring diagrams and photos should come up. LOVE the choke and the look, as well as the ability to shut off the headlights.

No it doesn't plug right in like I hoped. Somewhere, recently, Inderocker did the same thing. What was needed was, pulling the turn signal switch out and replacing it with the SH switch, then the plug matched. That left you with a black/red wire that needs to be run to the corresponding wire on the Right Hand Switch on the SH, it's the headlight cutout circuit. Then the Firestorm left hand switch works.
