GSXR 1000 Signal Mirror Mod? Bolt-on?

I'm looking for turn signal options for the decades-old, tried-and-true stock Honda signals. I've decided I want to go LED, but want to run the fronts as running lights and am concerned about front-side visibility.

Was perusing the Gallery here when I came across Radiantti's pics (link here) using GSXR 1000 signal mirrors. They look a little long (and antenna-like), but I've been considering going with R6 or FZ1 mirrors, which are also a little longer than stock, and thought the GSXR mirrors might be a great compromise.

Is Radiantti still here and does anyone know if this is a straight bolt-on? I searched and couldn't find anything on GSXR mirrors. The collective wisdom here is simply genius! Thanks.

Yeah, I've been looking at the VTR signal mirrors sold at Speedzilla, which are probably the same as the Emgos. I've seen a few pics and it looks like they sit a little more upright than I'd like, antler-like, if you will, and don't offer any more rear visibility than stock.

I was hoping Radiantti might still be around to comment on the GSXR mirrors on his/her bike. It looks like they'd offer better rear visibility over the stockers and the Emgos. Thanks.

I have a set of mirrors with lights from a 2007 GSXR1000 that I'm going to sell. They have a few light scratches, nothing visible over 10ft. I'll take $50 plus shipping for the pair.

Can you measure the diameter of the threads? Also can you measure from centerpoint to centerpoint of both bolts?

If so, I'll be able to cross-reference that to what the SH has and see how much we are out in dimensions.

My wife retro-fitted the Emgo GSXR mirrors to her 06 VFR and they work great, but they need an adapter base to fit them onto the VFR mirror mounting points. Haven't tried it on the VTR, but I suspect you'd need the same type adapter. She got hers, with adapters, from a guy on the VFR board who is making the adapters especially for the VFRs, for $140.00. The only issue we had mounting them is that because they have a locking screw which rotates with the mirror swingarm, you have to make sure you lock-tite the screws down (ask me how I know...).

Good luck!

The R6 mirrors are a world better than stock but don't fit the boot-stamp of the stockers very well. Bolt right on. Ebay for fifty. Lots of this stuff in the archives.

Thanx
Chris

Was wondering if they have to be the Gixxer 1000 mirrors... doesn't suzuki make the 600 and the 750 with integrated turns in the mirrors?
