Fuel Tank Bling?
I recently acquired an 03 'Hawk in nice condition with very low miles. In the attached photo, can anyone let me know if the chrome strip along the bottom edge of the fuel tank is standard equipment on these bikes?

I could not find this trim piece in any of the online photos/manuals I have reviewed.

ive never seen any bike from dealer new with the trim,or used,and its not in the parts list.thats a add on.looks nice tho

Looks like stick-on trim you can get from auto parts stores. It should add a modicum of protection during tank removal.

Actually, to qualify as "bling" it would have to be the gold colored variation.
The chrome stuff is merely foo-foo.
