Front signal question....

Been lookin around, and seen that there really isn't any options to from light replacements...well, none that don't look bulky anyways, or that ruin the lines.

I've looked at the stockers very briefly and after looking at these, they protrude from BEHIND the fairing, they aren't actually part of it, like alot of other bikes are.

So has anybody just used regular short stalk lights and mounted them up so that they protrude out JUST PAST the fairing like the watsen ones do? The watsen ones even utilize the stock rubber grommet around the hole, they just replace the stalk and light....anybody switch them out with short stalks? Seems like a good alternative to spending only $30 instead of $130...

Just a thought....I was thinkin about it.

Re: Front signal question....

The thing with turn signals that protrude out of the fairing is that if (when) the bike falls over they get rammed through the fairing. Its happened to me.

So then you get LP flushmounts and never worry about it again. Oh and I've tested it and the signals smash but the fairing is ok other than scratched.

This test... was it an "unplanned" type of test?

Re: Front signal question....

I think they look great on there, I might have to go with that look. I have been racking my brain for what to do with the front since I got the back ones complete. (https://www.superhawkforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2110) but haven't been able to come up with anything better that would still hide the gaping holes where the stock ones were.

I noticed on thier site they show some blue ones, but don't list them on their color choices. It would be nice to have the units color matched. I guess though with the black rubber surround the blue might not look as nice as the black.
