Frame Sliders ????? Help

I have a '98 superhawk and i've been trying to find frame sliders for it that don't require too much fairing mods to install. If anyone knows where i can find frame sliders that will fit my bike please let me know.

Thanks.

I tried the t-rex sliders on ebay. It seems that the guy ran out of sliders that fit the vtr1000.

I also tried the S&W sliders, but the swsliders.com website doesn't work anymore.

If anyone know wherer to buy S&W or t-rex sliders please let me know.

Thanks.

LSL are pricey, but look better than average and great fit/finish.

Ive got the T-Rex no-cut sliders and I'm very happy with the quality and fit and finish.... Don't know how strong they are, I haven't had them down yet (knock on wood)...

I got my LSL sliders on clearance at http://www.kneedraggers.com. At the time, it was the cheapest price that I could find on the net.

Hi Black Hawk, there is no need to support the engine just take 2 bolts each side of plastics off and remove 2 support engine's bolts (whole engine bolt to the frame by 8 bolts) then re-bolt off set w/new bolt (come w/sliders) job done in 15 minutes.

The 1st link says its only for the RC-51, will they still work?

Also, I found these:

http://www.motovationusa.com/mvstore...p?idproduct=13

Looks like they need fairing cutting - see the install directions for more details on the link provided above!

Update - I got sliders from t-rex. I contacted him directly thru ebay. Sounds like these are available from him again!

T-rex and similar framesliders

I just mounted mine, and I have a warning. If you are the kind who move around on your bike in the turns they might be in the way. At least they are for me. On road and initially when going into a turn on track I rotate around the tank and hit the fairing with my knee. Now that is blocked by the framesliders. It remains to be seen if they also block the free movement when leaning far over. I'll test tomorrow on track. What I worrie about is that my knee might get trapped between the ground and the slider.
I don't know with this bike but with the Aprilia RS250 my knee would get a slight squeeze betwen fairing and ground on maximum lean angles. If it's anything near the same I will have a problem. The glasfibre fairing on the 250 is one thing, the hard slider a complete different one.
