Acewell Gauges (and others)

Reading through the gauges threads on here - truckinduc, I saw you mentioned Acewell gauges. My vtr currently has no gauges whatsoever (salvage rehab) and the Acewells look like a great deal - lots of functionality and cheaper than the alternatives. Are you using a magnetic wheel sensor with yours, ala bicycle speedos? Or is there a way to hook up the Acewell to the stock wiring? And what did you do for mounting? Anything you can tell me about those gauges would be great. Much thanks.

well I havent mounted it yet. You may have noticed my bike is not on the road yet.

I will be using a magnet on the wheel. This type pickup is EXTREMELY accurate if you enter the tight wheel circumf. easy to get it 100% accurate

There may be a way to connect the stock tach wire to this gauge, Im not sure yet.

Its very simple to wire up though.

Im building a wiring harness and in doing so Ive eliminated about 20 wires that go to the stock gauges. It just makes the harness much smaller and simpler.

Ill be wiring up my gauge soon if you watch my build.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on your build. Good luck with the wiring!
