Yours is modded similar to mine. Did you really raise the rear 50 mm? What does that translate to at the shock mount?

I voted for yours, although inderocker's is certainly nice.

Mine's closer to +70mm in the rear. I set it by ride height and not shock length, so I can't tell you about that.

Only three votes and one of them was me...... sniff sniff.................

You'd have gotten my vote but for Indie's beauty... He sure knows how to make it purdy.

Now that he has a shop, you should see if he will sell daughertymotorsports parts in it. lol

I have to vote for inderocker, since I own an '05 Titanium as well. And his is as clean a Hawk as I've seen. Especially the postcard shot with the Canadian Rockies in the background.

But Jamie's front end sure looks nice.

That just seems like an awful lot. Mine shock is shimmed from 4-6 mm at the mount, but I don't know what that translates to in ride height increase. At 6mm shimmed with the shorter than stock 954 fork (set flush with the top of the triples) it turns quicker than I like.

Yeah, my bike looks a lot better in person. I wish that I had better pictures of it. Maybe I should take some!

It's about a 4:1 linkage ratio, so your 6mm increase in shock length translates to about 24-25mm of ride height increase. I ran that setup for a while but found that more was better. You really need to have a decent rear shock setup as a bunch more ride height probably isn't a good idea with the stock shock. Same goes for the front. I'm only about -10mm from stock geometry up front.

Yeah, you need to find a better backdrop for your photos.

Your black lab looks happy though.

I guess that I never really thought much about taking pictures of my bike. Plus, we don't have a lot of impressive scenery around here.... unless a 1000 acre soybean field is impressive to you.

I really like the titanium color, and this guy, VTS, made it pop I think with the overall understated stealth color scheme.
Everyone's bike, modded to their liking, is what makes the hawk IMHO.

Well RickB, I think we got what is called "a beating".

I think what I'll do next time (if there is a next time) is to wash my bike and find somewhere more attractive than my shop to take the pictures. I suppose by next summer it will need washed anyway. I should probably do that at least once a year.

JD!
Formula for success next year, VTR of the year 2010!!!

The one thing I would change. Tint screen, trim rear fender, aftermarket blinkers, ASV levers, rear solo cowl, wrap the headers, repaint/powdercoat rt engine cover, and make that billet brake pedal you mentioned, and wash the bike like you were saying.

Oh yeah, keep the soybean field, and Lab. Add bikini girl.

You will not lose. I'm rootin for you.
Best regards, with utmost respect. VTS
