Newb Here

Alright guys, I just bought my first superhawk! I've already done some work to it, and it's not running perfectly yet, but here she is! It has a factory pro shift kit, ignition advancer (+4), dyna coils and wires, stage 1 jet kit, snorkel delete, pair valve delete, single radiator conversion, 2-1 exhaust with chopped two bros racing can, risers and dirty bars, custom tail, and a few other bits like emulator and clutch springs. I have only gotten a chance to do a few things; powdercoat the swinger, custom headlight, install the bars, weld, ceramic coat and wrap the exhaust, and rejet it. Lots has been done before me. I have lots of plans for it though, so let me know what you guys think!

If you're having problems with jetting at speed then your problem is probably that "snorkel delete". The airbox and intake tract are very sensitive to changes on the VTR and will cause you fits. Try putting it back on and then rejetting. You really won't gain much from the mod anyway except noise.

You also need more slack in your front brake lines before you snap them off and end up in the hospital...or worse.

Well I would try that, except it never came with the bike. Thanks for the advice though, I'll keep an eye out for a snorkel.

I like it. Looks a little like a 919. Welcome!

Just a note; your front break line looks a little tight. May cause a problem when you excellerate and wheelie.

Welcome. Interesting bike. I'd love better pictures of the rear cowl/fender area. What is it from?

Still have scrappys headlight, but I didn't want to rock his work, even if it looked good. Everyone always asks if I did all that myself and I couldn't stand to say "no someone else did." So far All i've done is the headlight, fixed and remounted the gauge, dirtys, PC the swinger, and weld, ceramic coat, and wrap the exhaust. Oh and PC the muffler midsection.
