New guy, new bike

Hello everyone.

Lurked here for a while, so thought I'd join up. I'm from the UK and can be found on the Firestorm UK boards too. I've just got my hands on this beauty:

She's a '98 with 12,000 miles. 21 litre Carbotech carbon fibre tank, Sharkskinz lower, Ermax double bubble screen, BT010/020 f/r tyres, 16/41 gearing (soon to be 15/41), Goodridge hoses, SBK pads, flush mounted indicators front and rear.

So, hi to y'all from me, look forward to contributing here.

Is the Superhawk/Firestorm very popular in the UK?

FIrestorm's seem pretty popular all over. Not many good twins to choose from. Some were tempted on to the SV1000 and many don't like it as much.

Been riding 5 years. I had a KTM 125 supermoto and a CB500 parallel twin before this, so the boost in power compared to my previous stuff is nice. I'll be taking it slow and easy for a while yet (CB was 57bhp, my new storm is 105bhp)

Thanks for the welcome.
