My Hawk in action
Yeah Jeans. I don't have the funds for Leathers. That's why I have a Superhawk. I did spring recently for some icon field armor for under the jeans though.
Nice track shot! Since I'm on the street, with no pucks on my knees and a fair amount of gravel on the road, I don't try to lean off like I'm ripping around the track. But I don't really push the bike down either; I pretty much float right with it, maybe with a slight presure on the inside grip and peg. I guess some of my dirt ridding past as a kid has me a bit more upright??

No **** about having funds. our whole country couldnt afford leathers right now... im dying to get my knee down a little further by i have this buddy in Orange County who's brother did a little knee dragging in jeans and ground/popped his knee cap off on a yellow street marker.. his leg is all wobbly now...i think ill wait for leathers

The next thing I thought was: it looks like he has a dirt riding background because in the second pic it looks like you are just countersteering without hanging off much, which tends to push the bike down, especially if you have to tighten up your line unexpectedly. (Bike leans, rider tends to stay more upright). Works well in the dirt. I find I can steer bike and rider together much more effectively on the street if I hang off the inside of the bike a bit and then countersteer to turn.
Good job though.
Looks good! Not everyone moves around on the bike.
I have a friend with a long dirtbike background, that didn't move at all riding his Super Hawk on the track. He ended up lowsiding it.
If you are riding well within your traction limits, there's no problem with being stationary and steering the bike. But I too recommend a "half-cheek sneak". It gets you more involved in the dynamics of the motorcycle and leaning the bike less gives you a bigger margin for correction.
Dragging your knee on the street is silly. It happens sometimes without trying, but I wouldn't make it a habit, or a goal.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah I sent the pic to buddy of mine and did not think it was me. The guy that took the shot does great work...www.rockstorephotos.com
