My 2000 Hawk

I finally got around to getting a photo of my rig and figured i would throw it up on here. It's nothing too special but i have the proud parent mentality and figured what the hell why not throw it on here.

It's a 2000 with around 21000 miles. Mods are pretty mild. I believe the previous owner swapped out the RR. Jardine RT One cans. Clear alternatives integrated brake/directional out back, flush-ish front directionals, blacked out windscreen, corbin seat, and a brand spanking new brake lever from when it though it was a dog and tried to roll over. With any luck it won't ever try to play dead on me.

I can see why you want to sit on it in your garage (reference to another thread).

you have over 100 posts, so i can assume you have read some posts about how necessary the cam chain tensioner replacement is? everyone here says go with the APE CCT's.

absolutely. You can't really poke around the site without coming across the issue. I spoke with the mechanic at my local shop about the CCTs and he told me that unless you get that chain chatter while decelerating they should still be solid. Normally i would take that with a huge grain of salt but the guy has been racing Hondas his entire life. The only somewhat malignant sound i get out of my bike is a bit of clutch chatter. I don't ride too hard ( i know that's no justification for not replacing them) but i figure i can eek out at least another season before i swap them out. Then again i could end up another statistic in the CCT failure club.
