Now, its winter here for sure, as it snowing daily. I am going to start pulling the bike apart tonight. I will be repainting it, getting a new lower, and front flushmounts for sure. Also making custom brackets for my high mounts. I will take pics of the progress and try to keep this somewhat upto date, this will all happen over the next couple months...

With the exhaust so close to the tail plastic are you worried the heat may damage the plastic or paint?

I would assume the cans wont put off enough heat to make a difference and there is a few guys on here who have theres in the same spot with no issues, so hopefully it goes ok. Also you got a pm

Alright, update, I got insane with work and have not been home, first time I have been on the forum since January. I didnt get the chance to paint the bike or even order my lower yet. Got the bike out and took it down the road, still runs like a new one. But I will be trying to get my lower soon so I can get it on and get pics of it!

I'm curious about how strong your passenger pegs are, being extended out. Will they support your passenger getting on/off the bike, standing on the pegs?

My wife is 5'10" and 160ish lbs, and has no problems with her weight, Now she is currently pregnant and will not ride on the bike, so I went ahead and removed the pegs for this summer.

Well been a couple years almost since I have posted on this post, I have had another superhawk since, but this year, I decided to start the summer with something totally different and something I have wanted for a while, you guys can feel free to chime in what ya think. This is a 99, and had different paint on it, that I wasnt too found of, so I got an 06 plastic kit, and waiting for parts for the tank to get it put on. But its almost done....
