How low can you go? 99' Hawk 6,300mi
Was just wondering.. anyone own or know of an all original Hawk with less than 6,300 mi? I am second owner of this motorcycle and i purchased it from a man who... well.. truthfully was scared to death of this particular bike. He kept it in storage until I was lucky enough to swoop in for the rescue. Currently still rockin' the factory orig. Dunlops
For sure, these tires are so old I literally fish tailed just normally accelerating out of my driveway! Six months and counting its not quite on the road yet, turned out to be more wrench time than I initially suspected... Orig owner left all the fluids in while sitting in his garage.. TOTAL Brake/Cool/Oil rebuild nightmare..
Well it's no longer valid as I've owned it since 2005..
But Jun of 2005 I bought a third owner 1998 (Assembled and Vin'ed FEB 1997 ) with 3800 miles.
1st owner was a Tech at the local Honda shop..... put 3200 miles on it, 2nd owner was a mid thirty's married guy that wanted to have a mid life crises and buy a "Sport bike" then found out riding is often inconvenient, often Hot, Cold, and sometimes scary. .. add in a wife that hated the thing and 2 years 600 miles , plus 2 years sitting in the garage .... it went up for sale and I took her home.

It says only 50 built.
It does not say WHO BUILT them.
Never heard of a Honda Limited edition bike that used parts like that ad claims.
It was an English thing. I forgot which tuning company put them out but it is a legit bike.
It also has a different rear shock, something was done to the forks ....again I forgot and a damper.

In 1998 Honda celebrated its 50th anniversary as a motorcycle manufacturer and to mark the occasion Honda Britain released Limited Edition versions of the CBR600F, VFR800, CBR900RR FireBlade and VTR1000 Firestorm, production of which was entrusted to Russell Savory's RS Performance.
