dream come true
three weeks ago i got my hawk wanted one since 99, my neighbors boss had one he hit a deer with 8 years ago had not rode it sinnce. So he told me he would give it to me for a 1,000 dollars so i told him ok, wento get it sight un seen just what i was told it had been taken to a shop three years ago to get it running and then still never touched it but had all the plastic to fix it. well got up there to pick it up had clean title bike was pretty clean one side fairing, head light, and head light surround broke had all new oem honda parts to replace them the bike also had carbon d&d exhaust the one side was beat up from the accident but here is the kicker he had a full set of polished d&d to go with it. I was unable to here it run but took it any way not knowing milage or any thing because battery was dead so took it home got a battery the bike had 4,200 miles on it would not start, so i took the carbs off cleaned them put them back on and woulndnt you know it fired up bike also had a scotts stearing dampner. so far i got the new plastics painted seat lowered and redone new cbr wheels almost got them polished out it sucks but it will be worth it

its not perfect but they work the first pic was the day i got it the wheels are almost done being polished and the last pic is recent with the plished exhaust hope the snow is gone this weekend so i can go ride again

its not fun i have been polishing metals for fun for a long time and its not fun lol, i sand blast it fist for paint removal first then 60 grit for the spokes and any rough parts and then work my to 3000 grit about 40 hours per wheel and dont sit in one spot u want to remove your material evenly good luck

Yeah I'm cringing just thinking about the amount of work to polish those wheel yourself. I spent an entire year straight doing a bike by hand once. Don't think I'll ever do it again. Haha I have a pic someone of a project hawk of mine also in red and yellow before paint . That pic made me laugh.
