Stock engine specs reference?

Does anyone have a link to or pdf with an authoritative reference on our stock HP, torque and fuel economy?

googling for vtr1000f torque turns up very few actual numbers, and I haven't found any that appear to be authoritative in any way.

Stock HP for an '05 is about 101, torque is about 67 foot pounds. Gas mileage depends on how you ride. I've gotten anywhere between 35 and 40 mpg, consistent 40 when I was commuting 75 miles a day.

Or stay out of the throttle.

I have never gotten good mileage with mine either probably around 28 or so. It's been so long since I've checked it I may be wrong. However, I put a SpeedoHealer on so I expect my mileage numbers to change now as well.

Actually not to argue, but I doubt that many of the 05's reach that number... The 97-99's dynoed at around 102-105 at the rearwheel with a few of them even higher, the later years dropped of a little to somewhere just under 100 to just above, say 98-102 or so... My 97 did 104 on a calibrated dyno with nothing touched... Torque about 86-87 NM...
