looking for good roads in the north east
Some friends and I are planning a ride from MD north west to pa to new york then east into vemont, maine then back south along the east coast to md.
Does anyone have any suggestions for "MUST see" or "must ride roads in those areas that we can try to put into the tirp.
Thanks for any suggestions.

JB,
From the Port Henry end of REDVTR's Tracy Road loop, cross Lake Champlain over to Vermont Rt 17. About 40 miles of nice, but not spectacular, riding on 17 until you get to the section that goes through Camel's Hump State Park. The good part is only about 5 miles, but you may want to do it several times. Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire (Rt 112 from Lincoln to Conway) is a great ride, but only if you can get it in on a weekday. Don't even bother on a weekend, it will be a Harley/Motorhome traffic jam.

I concur with 17. Just be aware the first turn comes up fast. Witnessed one lowside and one completely blown turn on the very first switchback because people didn't expect it. We were probably cooking along at around 60-70 mph because the first part of the road is so easy going.

agreed with above. and will add a few
groton state forsest forget what rte # but its a blast and a must on weekday. and its just off rt 2 from "app gap" or rt 17 to kangamangus.
middlebarry gap and brandon gap are nice
rt 100 N to south not supertwisty but nice and the side roads off that are great
those are VT rds
while on the kangamangus do bear notch rd brings you to crawford notch very nice road that may or may not be open yet. they close it for the winter so no frost heaves.
crawford notch is nice to, which is rt 302 whole thing is ok
and down by N conway is another one called hurricane Mtn road is a tight one
dixville notch is nice too
NH roads

Rt. 125 is absolutely worth your time, trust me. Rt. 235 is also a gold mine. They are fairly close to each other in the central part of PA.
