does anyone know any good roads in the phoenix area

Tortilla Flat is a nice day trip. Take the 60 east all the way to Idaho Rd, then go north and follow the AZ 88/apache trail signs. After you get out of Apache Junction, turns into a 2 lane road with some fun twists. Canyon lake is up there and a restaurant by the name of Tortilla Flat. After the the restaurant the road gets smoother and less trafficy so I usually run that a couple three times (it turns to dirt after a bit) Hit me up if you'd like to ride and aren't too fast... cause I'm somewhat of a noob on the bike.

Longer trip is Payson beeline - I17 loop. Or even longer on to Prescott and Wickenberg. Or on up to Flagstaff the back way via Mormon Lake.
Also the Bush Highway out east is a good short trip... West side there is Vulture Mine RD.. Lots of good rides, you just gotta get out of the city.

I may be up for the ride tomorrow - Have to see if I have any other obligations. Done that trip a few times in the last few months.
At least when we ride with other SH's we already expect to stop for gas A LOT.
I'll hit you up with a TXT before the ride if I can make it.

Ok so not likely that I'm going to make it. Bummer. BUT would be interested in rides in the future! Especially if experienced riders are patient and willing to lead a few to teach my noob bones some tricks of the trade...
