Career
IT Program Manager at technology company now. This is a second (or third) career after retiring from a career in sales (AT&T, Lucent, Avaya = communications devices - PBX's, voice mail, video, routers, switches, etc.) Started as a programmer analyst in the 70's and am also familiar with punched cards. Wonder if my Fortran and COBOL skills are still useful?
I am proud to get the AARP discount when I can do so.
I also ride a Harley Ultra Classic which is great for extended touring. The old beast just works and works. I think the key to a good Harley is to leave it alone. Trying to squeeze too much horsepower out of these air cooled engines is a bit risky for me. I have over 30,000 miles on the Harley with nary a problem.
Of couse, I have over 10,000 miles on the Super Hawk and cannot complain either. It is a nice fun alternative - especially for commuting to work down I-95 amonst the crazy drivers here in South Florida.

I deliver the Twinkies (and other related goodies) for Hostess/IBC. Commonly know (here in the states) as a Route Delivery Sales. Can't really believe people consume that much **** , but then again, look at all the overweight people out there. Keepin me in business, for sure.

Driving around London will teach you patience and frustrate you all at the same time.I started my trucking career back in the 70's hauling containers into Stratford L.I.F.T. (London international freight terminal) and serving the old east end docks, which I think are all gone.
Do you just haul around the city Becky?
Do you just haul around the city Becky?
At our depot we cover all of the city down to folkstone and up north to skegness and warrington we do quite alot driving round the city isn't to bad but you got to have your eyes every where as people cut you up all the time like the other day i got a £60 fine for being stationary in a box junction when what happened was i waited for a gap the length of my vehicle gap cleared i went and some little ****** zipped up the inside of me and cut in front leaving me stranded in the box junction london is a nightmare some times but other times people try and cut you up and mess them selves up, take few weeks ago coming out of mile end 2 lanes i was in lane 1 mini in lane 2 he was trying to over take me then realised that his lane joined my lane and nearly had head on crash with on coming traffic its called pure ignorance people look after number 1 in the city thats why there is probably so much traffic no one is curtiuos

There's no law saying smooth tiles can't go onto a floor. We do 90% normal tiles and the rest non slip on floors. Its all personal preference. Plus that was a $20000 cash job so we don't worry about the code crap. Lol

They were just recently a pretty prominent part of the movie Zombieland...
Not sure how to get Twinkies in the U.K. but I wouldn't doubt they make it over there somehow.

I usually go down to Beck Row to my old local, The Rose and Crown but as it is a brewer's pub it has changed hands many times since I lived there in 2003. Went there in January and you can't smoke inside anymore (understand it is UK wide), no more hot barmaids and the jukebox has a bunch of crap on it. I'll give you a shout if we are headed that way. Usually if the winds are favorable we will bypass the UK and go to Spain.
