I buy used road and mountain bikes, let others take the depreciation hit.

That's how you do it. I do the same for cars and bikes.

My only other vehicle is a Giant Iguana mountain bike. Paid $40 for it about 4 or 5 years ago.

Red SuperHawk 2003 - bought about 2 years ago with 9,700 miles and allegedly used as a track "sighting bike" ... Not sure what that means, but I had Kiyo Watanabe go over it and tweak it ... I love this bike!

The Hawk GT is something I've had and modded for awhile ... But I wanted more power ...

So I guess my SuperHawk efforts will be trying to trim some weight, if that's possible. Any suggestions?

Uh ... Thanks Mr. Wolverine!

Kinda $pendy solution

I suppose I was looking for the 'take this stuff off and save this much weight' sorta direction. But ... As a 'newbie', I'm allowed 3 dumb questions, right? Well, I suppose that'll be the first one.

LOL!!
I came from an NT to my Hawk. Loved the chassis but I could pretty much run it wfo on the street. The 'lil 647 doesn't have much poke (even jetted w/ Muzzy exhaust). Check out some Hawk **** I posted on speedzilla.

The cheapest weight reduction is a carton of bran muffins.

Here's my freshly rebuilt Monnier MXR600R

It's a Swiss brand. Been riding it daily now for a few weeks.
