i will be replacing my sprockets and chains just as soon as i decide where to get them. i figured why not ask all of you. so which brand of sprockets do you guys here feel will last the longest.and where do i get my hands on a good steel 530 chain and sprocket kit? im asking because i keep running into alot of aluminum kits or 520 conversions on ebay. im going to search awhile but would be interested in any advice you could come up in the way of gearing as well. i dont want alot of extra revs but this bike is just geared allittle to tall in 6th cruising at 70mph. im running stock original chain and sprockets right now with about 15,000miles on the clock figure its time. sorry if im beating a dead horse but its always best to ask.

Try your local shop or Cycle Gear...I've used both to source rings & chains w/o problems...

520 vs. 530 is debated all the time...I'm running 16/43 520 and very happy with it. However, I do recomend steel up front and the strongest 520 chain you can find. The gearing is perfect at 70 mph and I've found the 520 to be smoother than the 530 and actually lost some unwanted vibes going to 520.

However, I'm going back to stock 16/41 gearing with 520 for a STG 1 motor...wanna buy a speedo healer...LOL!

Looks good to me, but just to be safe don't go with the supplied clip-on master link...instead I'd rivit the chain together myself...RC
