This picture is not planned, I just realized I'm one of "those" mechanics. What's on your bench?
My wife group texted the photo to various family members: Sister: I'd hate to be the one to put all that back together. Brother: Seriously, obviously it's just a pile, if it were a project it would be labeled. Dad: Yeah, no one actually works like that. Wife: Guess again, this is normal. Every bike he has looks like this at some point.
The only bike part on my bench is the brackets for my underbelly. I have it off getting painted and repaired from the previous owner.
I tend to keep everything fairly clean, I cant work in a mess.
On the bench?
Well on the engine cart bench top is a DRZ462 that I need to finish in the morning. On the suspension bench is a DRZ400 shock that got a lowering spacer, new valving, spring, fresh oil and some nitrogen. On lift 1 is a 1984 RZ350 just about done and ready to go back to the owner, on lift 2 is a 2016 Triumph Speed Triple R that is getting some farkels, an oil change, Fz1 fuse box installed , Clearwater Krista lights and a new horn. On the main roll cab tool box top is...a mess, same with the 60 shelves of new (last 9 months) of industrial metal shelving and that is my New Year resolution,,,,to have the shop as clean, uncluttered, organized as it was last year
