what do you think

Ok guys so i was riding my bike today. Got off the bike got back on it and it was dead know lights or anything. charged the battery for a couple of hours still nothing. what do you guys think any help will be appreciated.

Could be a bad battery or r/r or both (bad r/r took out the battery).

r/r= regulator/rectifier do a search for lot's more info on it.

easy change- some on this site used gsxr r/r I think, as honda's are prone to overheat

i checked the main fuse it was blown i then replaced it and as soon as i cranked the bike up it blew again where do i go from here.

I would just give up, but that's me....

replace it....Honda's suck...I mean the r/r's suck, that honda makes, er or something like that....see this is why I would just give up....

Did the motor turn over at all? Will it push start if you replace the main fuse again? I've heard of this before. I think the bike had a hydrolocked cylinder or something.

The search function is a wonderful tool....

That said, check your battery terminals tight.

If there's no problem there then it's most likely your R/R, but I doubt it's that since you said it blows as soon as you try to start it.

i checked the terminals closely it didnt seem to have any problems. But the bike does turn over and starts briefly then it just dies.

Well, sounds like the R/R then. Welcome to the club. Though I've not had any problems with mine....yet, many have. They can fail two ways, high or low. Yours has failed high, allowing full voltage and current from the alternator. You're lucky the main fuse saved the rest of the bike.

any idea where i can find a new one without it costing a arm and a leg. Thank you guys for all your help!!! If any of you guys are ever in Baton rouge La are the surrounding area hit me up Ill buy you a beer or 2 or 3 or 4 or a coke for the non drinkers.
