Well I went and did it
Picked up a 2000 VTR Sat. and I think I'm going to like it !
My other bike is a VTX-1800 C , so it's going to take some getting use too.
Any who , glad theres a comunity for the S/Hawk.
Any one else from San Antonio ?

Welcome aboard L-man....Lots of good stuff on here, wealth of knowledge, and a ton of BS mixed in as well...LOL...
I have been looking at adding the VTX to the stable, they have the 05' VTX1800n Brand new at the local dealer here for $8999...Seems like a pretty good deal...
You will love the Hawk, she is a great bike...

I picked mine up about a month ago and love the bike. I live just past Austin in Round Rock. The international motorcycle show is in Fort Worth this weekend and there is a nice croud of people I know are riding up if yoe're interested.

Welcome L-Man.. I traded a Valk for a 2000 VTR and a 250 Ninja for wife. Only ridden a bit before winter hit...I'm already loving this bike...Seems so light and responsive after the Valk...

Cliffhangerstx you will also love the torque of the VTX. Very comfortable bike , I've logged 66,000 miles on mine in 3 years,,,,,,,the VTR ought to handel the twisties better though

I was down in Corpus / Kingsville on buiseness a few years back and visited the aircraft carrier museum in the Corpus bay. What is the name of that carrier ?
