vtr with pilot powers

hi , i am running pilot powers with stock suspension ,softest preload front and rear and have tried both extremes on the rear dampining(yes piece of **** shock ) on full soft wollows ,full hard handles and steers well but harsh any where in between no good .i `ve taken the fairing off and using protapers and a modified one rotor setup and i weigh less than 150.before i start blowing money on shocks could it be the pilot powers are the problem .i don`t remember it being so much of a problem with bridgestones.any ideas,
thanks tony .

you need to get your suspension setup properly which is gonna be tough with your weight since the stock suspension blows. the pilot powers on the superhawk was one of the best things I ever did to it

+1 Especially at a buck fifty - the stock suspension sucks

The rear spring is set up for a rider that's about 185lbs and the front is set up for a rider weighing much less...ie the balance problems you've discovered. You're going to need to get your suspension dialed in regardless of your choice of tire. Race Tech Gold valve with springs appropriate for your weight for both front and rear suspension will do wonders. Your local shop can do the work for probably around $500 depending on labor rates.

The Pilot Powers rock!!
