visiting la and vegas
i saw the signs for the festival of lights. we didn't go to it though.
la has pleanty of freaks. weirdos who seem to be desparate for attention. i was constantly on guard too. the bums are plentiful! man, they are sleeping on the curbs, under shrubs, everywhere. they love those shopping carts too!
it would seem to me that la was a beautiful place but it's been drug down by overpopulation. there are too many people creating to many problems like polution, homelessness, crime, freeway traffic, etc...

When I started surfing in San Clemente in the mid '60s, the population was about 3,000. Today it's about 75,000. The population of the United States has almost doubled since I was in high school.
so you've been to salt creek i see! great place! as much as i miss CA and its beaches, CO is a much better place and the Mountains here make up for the lack of ocean.
