Very bummed,no parts available

Looking to buy a left side fairing section for my SH.. Ronayers.com parts site was a bit confusing for this part so I stopped by the local dealer to confirm the correct part number... Seems ,, the reason it's confusing is, Honda no longer offers the part for my 1998. Just 01 and up...... Argggggggggg. The PO dropped this bike, and it has a few scuffs on the right side, and the rearmost mount for the left side faring piece has developed a crack... Figured get a new fairing,, but I've been DENIED. So, where to find a clean replacement part? New Old Stock? or go with a new part in the wrong color, then add a Few hundred $$ to replacement cost and have all of the plastics painted.

I can not believe Honda has already stopped selling parts for a 1998

same as for fit.. Yes as far as I know.

I assume it is a color/decal change. Did they make an Italian Red in 01, 02, 03, 04?

I've gone thru several fairing changes on my '98 and have never come across a difference in the reds thru the years. I HAVE seen a slight difference in the color of the red of the "superhawk" decal though. Not sure why but on the last new fairing I got the red of the decal was a little lighter than the red paint on the fairing. Kind of annoying but oh well.

It's a$234 part.. Now Add the cost of shipping my broken fairing two ways from TX to Montour Falls NY . Plus the cost of the repair, plus paint matching, lost time,, and in the end I have a repaired piece of plastic on my Nice otherwise great condition bike. For many that may be a deal.. Personally, I'd prefer a new piece if I can.

Thanks for the link though.. I have some other pieces that are not replicable,, And this place might be a solution.
